     -Korean Government

The Korean Ministry of Education manages a program titled English Program in Korea (EPIK). Similar to the well known JET program in Japan, EPIK places foreign teachers in Korean public schools at the primary and secondary level. In order to facilitate a better experience EPIK organizes a training orientation for incoming teachers at the beginning of each semester. I was an invited trainer during the summer 2007 sessions, teaching about how to use CALL to help create better public school classrooms. The text which supplemented my workshop can be found here.

     -Universities

In addition to my KOTESOL presentations, I have also given workshops for teachers at a number of universities in Korea on how to easily create and manage collaborative online classrooms. Participating schools include:
  • Kyungpook National University (Daegu, Fall 2006)
  • Sungkyunkwan University (Seoul, Spring and Fall 2007)
  • Hongik University (Seoul, Spring 2008)
  • Korea University (Seoul, Fall 2008)
